About the position

The Implementation and Project Supervisor role at Surgical Solutions, LLC is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of sterile processing departments. This role is particularly focused on the implementation of new accounts, ensuring that all projects align with organizational goals and comply with regulatory standards. The supervisor will lead and manage various projects related to sterile processing, developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets while monitoring progress against established milestones. In addition to project management, the supervisor will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surgical services, infection control, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project outcomes. Regular risk assessments will be conducted to identify potential challenges, and mitigation strategies will be implemented accordingly. The supervisor will facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Analyzing project performance data and preparing reports will be essential to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations. Furthermore, the supervisor will play a crucial role in training and mentoring team members on project management best practices and sterile processing protocols, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet the demands of the role. The Implementation Supervisor will also outline and execute project plans for the successful implementation of new accounts, acting as a key leader within the organization. This includes leading safety and service quality improvement efforts consistent with internal and external standards, such as JCAHO and CMS. The supervisor will create, implement, and share operating processes that drive efficiency and operational performance, while also developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to account and overall company performance. Building and maintaining strong relationships with hospital administration, surgeons, and other OR staff will be critical, as will regular communication with senior leadership to identify opportunities and challenges during new account implementation. Additional responsibilities include inventorying existing equipment and instruments within new accounts, documenting new requests for Account Services and Purchasing, and educating hospital teams on Surgical Solutions' services. The supervisor will also manage the performance of Implementation Technicians, assist in performance counseling and coaching, and support recruiting and interviewing efforts for the new account's permanent team. Onboarding new Technicians and providing on-the-job training will be essential, as will identifying potential talent for management positions and providing leadership training to those identified. The supervisor will support operational needs at all current hospital accounts and provide timely and accurate reporting as required by the hospital account, ensuring that the schedule of team members during the implementation process is properly overseen. Lastly, the supervisor will act as a communication liaison between implementation teams and internal corporate departments.

  • Support recruiting and interviewing efforts for the new account's permanent team.
  • Help onboard new Technicians, orienting them to relevant hospital protocols and procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new hires and re-training for any current staff members.
  • Identify potential talent for management positions at new accounts and provide leadership training to those identified.
  • Support operational needs at all current hospital accounts.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting as required by the hospital account.
  • Properly oversee the schedule of team members during the implementation process.
  • Act as a communication liaison between implementation teams and internal corporate departments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in sterile processing or healthcare environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards related to sterile processing and healthcare operations.
