About the position

The Implementation Scientist (IS) at the Human Performance and Nutrition Research Institute (HPNRI) at Oklahoma State University is responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating methodologies for health-related interventions aimed at improving health outcomes in Oklahoma. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to assess the impact of research initiatives and disseminate findings effectively. The IS will report to the Associate Director of Research and Strategic Initiatives and will play a key role in aligning methodologies and overseeing data collection while supporting ethical research practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute methodologies for health-related interventions.
  • Evaluate the impact of health-related interventions on health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Outreach to monitor metrics and assess impact.
  • Disseminate findings to inform the field of implementation science.
  • Align methodologies with research objectives and oversee data collection.
  • Support ethical research practices in developing implementation strategies.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Implementation science, public health, or a related field.
  • One year of post-doctoral experience.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience in implementation science or public health.
  • Experience in data capture and reporting.
  • Knowledge of implementation science methods, performance improvement, and outcomes measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced data analytics and data visualization.
  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience in computational biology, focusing on problem definition and exploratory data analysis.
  • Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
