About the position

The Implementations Project Manager for financial service software plays a crucial role in overseeing the successful implementation of software solutions tailored for the financial services industry. This position encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, starting with the definition of project scope and the creation of detailed implementation plans that involve collaboration with internal teams, clients, and third-party resources. The primary goal is to ensure that projects are completed successfully and on time, meeting the expectations of all stakeholders involved. In this role, the Implementations Project Manager is responsible for providing regular status updates through comprehensive reports and meetings. They lead high-level steering committee meetings, which often include C-level decision-makers from client organizations, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as a trusted client relationship manager, the Project Manager is dedicated to maintaining strong communication and ensuring that client inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately. Another critical aspect of this role is owning the client's operational readiness, which involves ensuring a seamless transition from the implementation phase to business-as-usual (BAU) operations. This includes managing the execution of operational readiness tasks and ensuring that all necessary preparations are in place for a smooth handover.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed project plans
  • Generate PMO dashboard on a periodic basis
  • Chair steering committee meetings with C-level client decision-makers
  • Generate key project artifacts: project charter, change controls, sign-offs
  • Manage and report on resource allocation for assigned projects
  • Serve as a trusted client relationship manager, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client inquiries
  • Ensure execution of operational readiness in the transition from implementation to BAU

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience as financial services software implementation
  • Financial Services Experience (Investment, Banking, Insurance, FinTech, etc.)
  • Consulting experience
  • Securities or financial markets experience
  • Bachelor's or master's in finance or accounting
  • Prior experience implementing large scale programs
  • Project management and planning
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to seek out, recommend and implement continuous service improvements within the project timeline (and future projects)
  • Exposure to investment accounting software solutions
  • Expert Technical skills in project management tools
  • Familiarity with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms and Fintech solutions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Proven experience implementing software solutions in Asset Management and/or Insurance space
