About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import/Export Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in managing the logistics of importing and exporting goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating smooth operations within our production lines and warehouses. The ideal candidate will have experience with order fulfillment processes in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently within the distribution center.
  • Perform order picking and packing tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and inventory levels using systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate timely deliveries.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in training new staff on order fulfillment processes and equipment operation.
  • In charge of warehouse, customs and freight operations.
  • Facilitate freight operation for product deliveries.
  • Prepare shipping and custom-related documentation per container.
  • Prepare Entry Summary documents to be delivered when requested every year.
  • Follow up with accounting company allocation of freight, duty and storage costs per invoice.
  • Handle all processes regarding rejections, inspections or export back to supplier.
  • Create and assign containers for every received product on accounting program.
  • Align physical inventory with accounting program regarding per warehouse, on water or delivery stage.
  • Coordinate communication with Mother Company logistics team.
  • Year End reconciliation with warehouses.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
  • Experience in import and export regulation and customs clearance in the United States.
  • Experience in a distribution center environment with a focus on order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with AS400 systems for inventory tracking is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and shipping orders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a pay range of $20.00 - $27.00 per day.
  • Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts.
