About the position

The Import Logistics Agent at Expeditors is responsible for managing inbound air and ocean shipments, ensuring smooth and timely freight processes, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. This role involves data entry, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with regulations, all while contributing to a customer service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
• Track and trace Air and Ocean Import files as required
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, and others)
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
• Meet KPI (metrics) standards, as per the company procedures
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

Requirements

• 0-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English - reading and writing
• Understanding of air documentation process a plus
