About the position

The Import Operations Coordinator at Translink Shipping Inc. is responsible for facilitating the importation of cargo efficiently and accurately. This role involves coordinating cargo release, maintaining communication with clients and overseas partners, and ensuring all documentation is handled according to company protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate between client and overseas for booking reports.
  • Facilitate all aspects of importation of cargo, including arranging door delivery and customs clearance.
  • Update and complete arrival notices from overseas offices.
  • Track and trace shipments, keeping customers informed of any changes.
  • Maintain documentation and records according to established company paperless protocol.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC)
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and take direction from supervisors
  • Computer knowledge at user level, including familiarity with proprietary software.
