Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and configure base IMS system libraries using SMP/E.
• Configure and maintain IMS data sharing across multiple Sysplex environments.
• Manage and maintain IBM IMS databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance.
• Utilize z/OS, CICS, JCL, and CLIST/REXX for database management.
• Troubleshoot database issues effectively.
• Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure integration of database solutions with applications.
• Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor database performance and tune as necessary to optimize performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an IBM IMS DB Administrator or in a similar role.
• Minimum 3 years of SMP/E experience including installation, maintenance, and configuration of IMS system libraries.
• High School Diploma or GED.
