Responsibilities

• Hands-on knowledge of SMP/E to install, maintain, test, and configure base IMS system libraries
• Configure and maintain IMS data sharing across multiple Sysplex environments
• Manage and maintain IBM IMS databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance
• Proficient skills in z/OS, CICS, JCL, CLIST/REXX
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure database solutions are integrated with applications
• Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor database performance and tune as necessary to optimize performance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an IBM IMS DB Administrator or in a similar role
• Minimum 3 years of SMP E experience including Installation, maintaining, and configuring base IMS system libraries
• High School Diploma or GED
