About the position
The Home Caregiver position involves providing 1:1 patient care in the homes of clients in the Slippery Rock, PA area. The role focuses on supporting individuals with personal hygiene and household functions, ensuring they can remain in their own homes. Caregivers will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families while enjoying a flexible schedule and career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for clients.
- Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager.
- Notify the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
- Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations when business travel is required.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, and skin care.
- Transfer patients from bed to chair and to wheelchair, and assist with toilet needs.
- Perform household tasks essential to clients' personal care.
Requirements
- Six months of experience in home care preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet patients' needs.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of the patient's background.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
- Good time management, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work harmoniously with clients and their families.
- Commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with a variety of patient care situations.
- Certification in home health care or related field.
