About the position

This part-time, PRN role is essential for supporting clients, particularly the elderly, in maintaining their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
• Document care provided and any changes in the client's condition accurately.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of medical-surgical care principles and practices.
• Experience in geriatrics or working with elderly populations is preferred.
• Knowledge of emergency protocols to respond effectively in crisis situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence at home.
