In-Home Installation Technician

About the position

As an In-Home Installation Technician at Best Buy, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, integrating, and troubleshooting various tech products, including home theater systems, computing devices, smart home technology, and networking equipment. This role emphasizes providing a seamless customer experience by understanding and fulfilling customers' technology needs while collaborating with other team members to drive performance and meet company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling on lifestyle recommendations regarding products and services.
• Perform delivery, installation, integration, networking, and troubleshooting of consumer electronics devices.
• Take the lead on two-person jobs and perform other work independently.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, process paperwork and payment, and provide feedback and training opportunities while following safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required to perform the job effectively within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift weights up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift weights up to 250 pounds as part of a team with support tools such as harnesses or lifts.
• 6 months of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting experience.
• 6 months of customer service experience.

Nice-to-haves
