About the position

The Integrated Math Tutor position at Tutor Doctor is a part-time role focused on providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring services to middle school students in their homes. The tutor will utilize a unique approach to education, developing customized lesson plans and monitoring student progress to help them achieve their academic goals in math.

Responsibilities

• Develop customized lesson plans tailored to the student's unique learning style and needs.
• Monitor the student's progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with the student's parents or guardians to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Provide in-person tutoring sessions once to twice a week.

Requirements

• Strong background in Mathematics, particularly in algebra and geometry.
• Experience with in-person and/or online tutoring.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated ability to create customized lesson plans based on individual student needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Math or a related field is preferred.
• Experience tutoring middle school students is preferred.
