About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team as an In-House Bookkeeper/Controller. This role requires an experienced professional to manage multiple entities and oversee financial operations within a multidisciplinary medical center. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and skilled in technology, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration with both the owner and various vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage and control financial operations across multiple entities.
  • Handle vendor relationships and ensure timely payments while cleaning up outstanding accounts receivable/payable.
  • Work directly with the owner to manage both business and personal financial matters.
  • Utilize financial software for data entry, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
  • Write detailed financial reports for management review, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and GAAP regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications and tools used for accounting tasks.
  • Experience with double-entry bookkeeping practices and corporate accounting functions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in financial report writing.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong backbone to navigate complex situations.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex financial information.

Nice-to-haves
