We currently have an in-house loan officer position available with a growing company in North Austin. This role offers a base salary plus a bonus structure, with the base salary determined by the candidate's experience. It is important to note that future outside loan officers will be hired on a 100% commission basis, but this position is not commission-based. The main duties of the Loan Officer include responding to incoming calls and emails from customers and real estate agents, encouraging prospects to apply for loans, generating pre-approvals, and following up on leads and pre-approved customers. This is not a lead generation position, and the Loan Officer will not be involved in outside sales. As a Loan Officer, you will have the support of a Transaction Coordinator who will assist in setting up new contracts in the system and collecting client documents. However, you will be responsible for reviewing rates and fees, managing the loan process, and locking in loans. Throughout the loan process, Loan Officers are expected to manage customer and real estate agent relationships by providing regular loan status updates and ensuring the loan is successfully funded. Delivering exceptional customer service on a daily basis is a minimum requirement for this challenging position, as it involves answering VA loan questions, educating customers on the loan process, and assisting them in understanding their options. In this role, you will promote Veterans United's brand and mission while following up with leads and applicants to keep the loan process moving forward. You will analyze loan applications, issue pre-approval notices, structure loans for borrowers, and assist real estate agents with loan terms for drafting offers. Additionally, you will meet with customers to explain loan disclosures, closing costs, and the overall loan process. Managing the pipeline and the loan process from contract through funding is a key responsibility, as is communicating solutions to any problems that may arise and escalating issues to the Branch Manager as necessary.
