About the position

The In-House Marketing Assistant Manager at Wyndham Sea Gardens is responsible for enhancing guest experiences by providing exceptional customer service and managing marketing operations. This role involves direct supervision of marketing staff, ensuring high conversion rates for owner updates, and coordinating with sales management to optimize tour flow. The ideal candidate is outgoing, driven, and possesses strong communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and achieving departmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Book owners and guests for owner updates both by phone and face-to-face.
  • Welcome guests warmly and provide information about the resort and local activities.
  • Maintain above-budget conversion rates for assigned guests.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player to meet departmental standards.
  • Directly supervise Resort Host/Concierge/Marketing staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Resolve issues related to tour statuses and bookings.
  • Compile performance data for Resort Hosts and prepare necessary reports for management.
  • Coordinate with sales management regarding tour seat availability and potential tour flow.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of pertinent marketing information.
  • Coordinate with sales on new or changed marketing programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience in Timeshare/Vacation Ownership is required.
  • Ability to effectively coach, counsel, and motivate direct reports.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of marketing databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality or customer service roles.
