About the position

The In-House Paralegal will play a vital role in the legal department, focusing on contracts management. This position is responsible for the efficient management of the company's contracts, acting as a liaison between the legal team and various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and regulations while supporting the legal department in various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and modifying a variety of contracts and agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Facilitating the contracts review process by coordinating with relevant departments to ensure contracts align with company policies and regulations.
  • Supervising the entire lifecycle of each contract, from initiation through execution, renewal, and eventual termination.
  • Incorporating relevant changes or amendments into contracts as necessary and coordinating approval processes.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments for all contracts and proposing mitigation strategies to reduce potential legal liability.
  • Ensuring all contracts are properly stored and maintained in the company's contracts management system, with compliance to contract filing and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Assisting in the resolution of any contractual disputes or issues that may arise.
  • Supporting litigation including document production and corresponding with outside counsel.
  • Supporting the legal department in any other tasks as needed, which might include legal research and due diligence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract law and its application in corporate contexts.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role with a focus on contract management.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to exercise discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
