About the position

The In-House Shop Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. This role involves providing technical support to customers and other technicians, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining a professional representation of the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house testing and repair of PC Boards, modules, sub-assemblies, components, and systems.
• Provide professional and courteous technical phone support relating to customer needs.
• Provide phone and email technical support to other service technicians, customers, and third-party service organizations to accurately diagnose product functionality issues.
• Inspect and organize products returned under RMAs as required.
• Maintain Field Service parts inventory including cycle counts and inventory transactions.
• Oversee all Field Service test equipment inventory and calibration rotations with technicians.
• Maintain all service training equipment and fixtures and participate in technical training activities as required.
• Keep an organized, neat, and clutter-free work area in Repairs and Returns work areas.
• Verify service parts orders for completeness and accuracy, prepare and package them for shipment, then deliver to shipping.
• Assist Field Service Technicians in the field as needed for additional support or for training opportunities.

Requirements

• Two-year technical school in electronics or electrical studies or equivalent work experience.
