About the position

The IT Technical Project Manager/Business Analyst will oversee and execute projects while analyzing business processes to recommend and implement improvements. This role focuses on the Vital Records project aimed at enhancing productivity and documenting system enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management and business analysis, acting as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams to ensure business objectives are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze present-state and develop alternative future-state approaches for implementation.
  • Lead requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients to determine project requirements.
  • Guide stakeholders in defining and documenting project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Independently manage assigned projects to ensure outcomes align with customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with technical teams to identify and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal resources and stakeholders for flawless project execution.
  • Manage relationships with vendors/service providers to ensure commitments are met.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead effectively in a team environment.
  • Master new technologies and deliver quality products within short time frames.
  • Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation.
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure goals were met and identify lessons learned.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, including project health, risks, and issues.
  • Manage project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks.
  • Create and maintain all forms of project documentation and records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management/business analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies is required.
  • Project management and coordination skills for leading and supporting multiple interdepartmental projects and initiatives.
  • Capable of providing gap analysis and needs assessments to uncover business needs.
  • Experience building user stories and use cases.
  • Strong experience leading, facilitating, and motivating teams for small to medium IT projects required.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with business units in achieving their goals required.
  • Ability to identify business and information needs, uncovering areas for improvement, and develop appropriate business solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing vendor relations and partnerships within the project lifecycle.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization required.
  • Understanding of IT systems and processes, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.

  • Previous experience working with a COTS based provider.
