About the position
In Shoppers at Jimmy John's are responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing sandwiches quickly and accurately. This part-time role emphasizes maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon entering and exiting the restaurant.
- Make fast, accurate, and consistent sandwiches.
- Comply with all portion sizes, recipes, systems, and procedures.
- Pass the sandwich test at the end of the first two weeks of employment and at future testing times.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant, including tables, floors, windows, beverage station, and restrooms.
- Take customer orders, operate the cash register, collect payments, and make change.
- Execute genuine greetings and farewells to customers.
- Take telephone orders and complete delivery tickets.
- Fill out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with the dress code.
- Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
- Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, and understanding basic fractions.
- Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
