In Store Donation Attendant Full Time

About the position

The In Store Donation Attendant is responsible for greeting customers and donors, processing donations, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves receiving and sorting donations, maintaining a clean and safe production area, and assisting customers with their donations. The position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with lifting and moving items.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Politely receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts.
• Sort donations into proper carts or bins and determine the quality of donations.
• Sort and price hard goods (wares).
• Keep the production area clean and safe, as well as other store areas as directed.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code.

Requirements

• Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of utilizing a barcode scanner.
• Ability to adhere to the organization's Core Principles.
• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification.
