About the position

The Inbound Logistics Manager at Parachute Home is responsible for overseeing the movement of freight from manufacturers to the warehouse, managing freight forwarder relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective shipping. This role involves KPI management, vendor management, and collaboration with various teams to optimize supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the import, export, and delivery of freight from international and domestic vendors.
• Create and manage weekly KPIs to monitor key metrics such as ex-factory dates and freight costs.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Oversee the customs clearance process and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure all entry documents and certifications are completed.
• Set up and maintain EDI integrations with vendors for accurate data transmission.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to address changes in lane demand and capacity.
• Continuously improve booking, tracking, and reporting processes for operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing international import/export logistics for a consumer products company.
• 3-5 years of experience managing P&Ls in logistics.
• Proven experience in managing the duty drawback process.
• Ability to audit and manage EDI transmissions for accurate order deliveries.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Flexport or CH Robinson (CHR).
• Experience with Netsuite, Looker, and Google Suite.
