About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Instructure is responsible for qualifying new sales opportunities and introducing the Instructure Learning Platform to potential clients. This role involves proactive outreach through various channels, managing a designated territory, and creating quarterly plans to meet sales quotas. The SDR will also provide accurate forecasts and update lead statuses using Salesforce, contributing to the overall sales strategy and success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce the Instructure Learning Platform to new clients through outbound contacting, trade shows, email campaigns, and responding to inbound leads.
  • Own and manage prospecting for a designated territory.
  • Create quarterly plans to achieve sales quotas.
  • Provide regular and accurate forecasts and update lead status using Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Creative and assertive communication skills.
  • Open to feedback and development.
  • Experience in sales or tech-related sales is preferred.
  • Ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas within specified time frames.
  • Experience selling software products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex enterprise software solutions and apply that knowledge in sales to academic institutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM.
