About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Analyst (Product Owner) to join our growing Human Resources (HR) Product & Portfolio Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of Incentive Compensation plans to our employees through process and technology. Reporting to the Product Management Senior Manager of Compensation, this person will act as the Product Owner supporting the incentive compensation application, Varicent. This role will collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, system users, and stakeholders to understand and document existing and proposed business processes, requirements, and system needs. In this role, you will articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish Objects and Key Results (OKRs), and provide direction for the Incentive Compensation Product Team. You will lead the Incentive Compensation Product Team of analysts and developers to design, develop, and deliver long-term, large-scale solutions to complex and unique challenges with a meaningful focus on regulatory impact and risk management. Additionally, you will advise the Corporate Compensation Senior Leadership Team on plan design updates as well as build vs. buy decisions. You will develop, maintain, and conduct quarterly Product Roadmap reviews with Corporate Compensation leadership and control teams, ensuring prioritization strategies to deliver high-quality Agile solutions that meet business needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in decomposing epics into effective features and user stories, collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts, and applying knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future. You will be responsible for translating problem statements, requirements, and system needs into effective customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish Objects and Key Results (OKRs), and provide direction for the Incentive Compensation Product Team.
  • Lead the Incentive Compensation Product Team of analysts and developers to design, develop, and deliver long-term, large-scale solutions to complex and unique challenges with a meaningful focus on regulatory impact and risk management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of experience with the design, implementation, or administration of Incentive Compensation activities and programs.
  • 3+ years of experience with incentive compensation management tools (preferably with Varicent admin or similar systems experience).
  • Experience within Human Resources, Total Rewards, and/or Incentive Compensation.
  • Product management / analyst experience.
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment with multiple Product teams.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Leadership / mentorship experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Varicent administration or similar systems.
  • Experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, and/or Incentive Compensation.
