About the position

The Incident Response Analyst will support federal customers in Ashburn, VA, focusing on identifying and responding to cybersecurity incidents. This role involves analyzing suspicious activities, implementing new tools and methodologies, and mentoring junior analysts to enhance their skills. The position requires a strong understanding of incident response best practices and the ability to establish trust with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Recognize suspicious activity/events and perform logical analysis to determine the root cause of incidents.
• Drive implementation and improvement of new tools, capabilities, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Instill and reinforce industry best practices in incident response and cybersecurity analysis.
• Promote and drive implementation of automation and process efficiencies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to improve analyst skill sets and ensure high-quality analysis.
• Establish trust and business relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain an Entry on Duty (EOD).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
• 4+ years of supervising and/or managing teams.
• 5+ years of intrusion detection and/or incident handling experience.
• CISSP and SANS GCIH or GCIA required upon start.

Nice-to-haves

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Deep technical understanding of current cybersecurity technologies and emerging capabilities.
• Hands-on cybersecurity experience within a Computer Incident Response organization.
• Familiarity with Cloud concepts and experience in monitoring and responding to threats in Cloud environments.
