About the position

The Income Maintenance Caseworker II position at Clay County Government is a full-time role within the Department of Social Services. Responsibilities

• Determine and/or redetermine applicants' eligibility for the Medicaid program.
• Interview clients to obtain required information and complete initial applications.
• Verify the information obtained and determine eligibility or complete scheduled program reviews.
• Explain program requirements and options to clients and refer them to other program services as appropriate.
• Review work through conferences and evaluations of processed cases for accuracy and completeness of records.

Requirements

• A two-year Associates degree in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum is preferred.
• One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker I, or graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience.
