The tax accountant is primarily responsible for assisting and supporting the administration of corporate income and payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations while minimizing the corporate tax burden of these areas through effective research, planning, and innovation. This position will involve managing, monitoring, tracking, and reporting various International, Federal, State, and Local income and payroll tax compliance obligations. Key responsibilities will include the preparation of international, federal, state, and local income and payroll tax returns; preparation and review of annual reports; assistance with interim and year-end provision; preparation of account analyses and account reconciliations; assisting with the calculations for estimates and apportionment; providing documentation and support for jurisdictional audit defense; conducting tax research; assisting with credits and incentives; coordinating with other departments; and handling special projects as necessary. The Accountant will collaborate with many functional areas within the company, most often with Corporate Tax, Corporate Accounting, Legal, and Real Estate. However, collaboration with other functional areas may also be necessary to gather required information for income and payroll tax disclosures or document requests from various taxing jurisdictions.
