About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team at La Senda Enterprises. This temporary, seasonal, full-time position is essential in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial data to identify potential deductions and credits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant tools to manage client accounts.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
• Review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy before submission.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to tax filings.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and applying technical accounting principles.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Knowledge of public accounting practices and corporate accounting principles.
• Understanding of sales tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in all work performed.
