The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Review financial records, including income statements and tax documents, to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client data efficiently.
- Conduct thorough research on tax regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and financial situations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
Requirements
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and corporate accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Sage.
- Excellent math skills to perform calculations accurately.
- Ability to understand financial concepts and provide sound advice based on market trends.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all interactions.
