About the position

Sarlo Income Tax is seeking experienced and licensed income tax preparers to join their family-owned firm. The role involves conducting tax preparation meetings, advising clients on tax-related matters, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct income tax preparation meetings for existing clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding letters or notices from tax agencies.
• Address client questions or concerns related to income tax.
• Provide year-end tax planning and overall income tax advising.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a professional income tax preparer.
• Experience in preparing Form 1040 and all accompanying schedules.
• Experience in preparing Form 1065, Form 1120, and Form 1120S.
• Current and active income tax preparation license as either an Enrolled Agent or California Certified Public Accountant.
• Proficient in utilizing Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax CS, with willingness to train if necessary.
• Ability to prepare at least 250 individual income tax returns per year.
