About the position

The Independent Customer Relations and Collections Specialist role at LAWCHEK™ involves working as an independent contractor to manage customer relationships and collections for overdue accounts. This position offers flexible hours and the option to work from home, with income based on commission from collections. The specialist will be responsible for contacting clients regarding overdue payments, establishing payment plans, and documenting collection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Contact debtors to notify them of overdue payments and discuss payment arrangements.
• Establish payment plans for accounts in default or with uncollected payments.
• Research client bills and debts by reviewing the historical data in their account.
• Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.
• Process payments and refunds.
• Persuade clients to continue with the services.
• Address customer concerns and resolve complaints.

Requirements

• Must live in Iowa within a 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids, IA.
• 1 year of experience with B2B phone customer service required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong negotiation and consultative skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service/collections skills.
