About the position

The Auto Appraiser position at IAnet involves assessing and estimating vehicle damages for insurance claims. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for photographing vehicle damage, evaluating repair costs, and communicating with insurance companies to negotiate settlements. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Photographing vehicle damage as directed.
• Evaluate vehicle damages and determine repair costs accurately.
• Utilize Auto estimating software to prepare estimates efficiently.
• Communicate with insurance companies to negotiate fair claim settlements.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damages.
• Manage claim documentation including photos, estimates, supplements, and total loss forms.
• Maintain a quick turnaround time for claims processing to meet cycle time goals.
• Handle various types of claims including auto claims, RVs, heavy equipment, specialty autos, motorcycles, ATVs, and boats.

Requirements

• Prior experience in auto appraising or related fields.
• Knowledge in appraisal software preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
