About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for independent contracting in Cabot, AR. This role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care, particularly in wound care, with responsibilities including medication administration and patient education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, especially in long-term and acute care settings, and will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and catheter care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
• Stay current with best practices in nursing, including knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS Certification
• Strong knowledge of physiology and geriatric care principles
• Experience in memory care settings (preferred)
• Proficiency in administering dermal fillers (a plus)
• Familiarity with catheter care procedures
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management
• Compassionate approach towards elderly patients.
