About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team as an Independent Contractor. This role focuses on representing clients in civil litigation cases, requiring a strong background in general civil litigation, excellent research and writing skills, and a deep understanding of the legal process.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare and present cases effectively.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Provide counsel to clients on legal matters and guide them through the litigation process.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in the state.
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
