About the position
Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants is seeking an ICC Certified Independent Inspector in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves inspecting various construction components and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The inspector will work as an independent contractor, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to interpret structural blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of construction components including reinforced concrete, structural masonry, and structural steel welding.
- Prepare reports and as-built documentation based on field data.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and client representatives regarding inspection findings and project status.
Requirements
- ICC certifications for Reinforced Concrete, Pre-stressed Concrete, Structural Steel and Bolting, structural masonry, and post tensioned reinforced concrete Special Inspector.
- Minimum of two years of experience in construction inspection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
