About the position

The Life Coach position at Spread Your Wings LLC focuses on supporting and teaching functional life skills to adults with disabilities. Under the supervision of the ILS Program Manager, the role aims to empower individuals to achieve independence and lead fulfilling lives in their chosen environments. The Life Coach will work closely with clients, their families, and support teams to implement individual support plans, manage caseloads, and facilitate community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support and teach functional life skills to adults with disabilities.
• Align efforts with individual support plans to promote independence.
• Manage a caseload of clients and collaborate with their families and service coordinators.
• Meet clients in their homes and in the community to work on their goals.
• Transport individuals into the community as needed.
• Write quarterly progress reports for clients.
• Coordinate meetings with the local Regional Center and clients' support teams.

• Quick learner with the ability to ask questions when unsure.
• Intermediate skills in basic computer applications, including MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Relevant experience in ILS, SLS, caregiving, CNA, teaching, or coaching.
• Strong values and a great work ethic.
