About the position

As a Jostens Independent Sales Representative, you will have the unique opportunity to be your own CEO, building your own business while contributing to a positive and rewarding school experience. This role is designed for highly motivated individuals who are entrepreneurial in nature and seek more than just a job. You will be responsible for gaining market share through customer and prospect development, advising school administrations on the products and services offered by Jostens, and maintaining an independent business office. Your success will be driven by your ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring that you act as a true business partner to your clients. In this position, you will be expected to comply with all applicable laws associated with the services performed for Jostens, and you will be responsible for all business expenses, including travel to facilitate sales. You will also have the opportunity to hire, retain, and compensate an office and sales staff as needed, allowing you to build a team that supports your business goals. This role offers a competitive compensation structure with 100% commission-based earnings and uncapped potential, along with marketing and advertising support to help you succeed. Responsibilities

  • Gain market share through customer and prospect development.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships with school administrations, organizations, and their advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise school administration on products and services offered by Jostens.
  • Comply with all applicable laws associated with the services performed for Jostens.
  • Maintain an independent business office.
  • Responsible for all business expenses, including travel to facilitate sales.
  • Hire, retain, and compensate an office and sales staff as needed.
  • Represent the Jostens brand and shared values of accountability, integrity, responsibility, and respect.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C).
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success and development.
  • Proven success in developing new business and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and customers.
  • A 4-year degree is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in educational sales or related fields.
  • Familiarity with digital and social media marketing strategies.
