About the position

The Index Pricing Analyst role at BCforward is focused on providing high-quality securities reference data to various lines of business. The position involves ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data, collaborating with technology and operations teams to drive innovative solutions, and playing a crucial role in the success of the security services organization.

Responsibilities

  • Daily validation in the firm's strategic reference data application to ensure quality of data.
  • Work with data vendors and technology teams to resolve data issues and improve data quality.
  • Complete all daily and monthly tasks within deadlines.
  • Resolve client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders to help drive products and solutions suitable for client needs.
  • Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience in Fixed Income, Fund Valuation, Pricing, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated understanding and interest in bonds, financial markets, and products.
  • Knowledge of industry activities, particularly corporate actions, index benchmarking, stock markets, and fixed income products.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Experience/knowledge of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Market Data vendor knowledge, e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters is a plus.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and follow-up skills.
  • Bachelor's degree with a preference in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning tools.
  • Knowledge of market data vendors like Bloomberg or Reuters.
