About the position

The Indiana Fever Operations Coordinator at Pacers Sports & Entertainment is responsible for managing the inventory and organization of all equipment related to the Indiana Fever team. This role involves hiring and supervising team attendants, assisting in daily operations, and traveling with the team for away games. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inventory and organization of all equipment related to the team including player uniforms, practice gear, shoes, and travel bags.
  • Handle daily laundry for the Fever and visiting teams.
  • Ensure the practice court and game court are set for practices and home games for the Fever and visiting teams.
  • Assist in daily practice with rebounding, passing, setting up drills, running clocks and scoreboards.
  • Organize supplies for the Fever and visiting teams such as drinks, basketballs, locker room, practice equipment, and other daily needs for players, coaches, athletic training staff, and front office staff.
  • Manage general upkeep and maintenance of player locker room and office spaces such as storage, re-stocking of toiletry items, towels, beverages, snacks, etc.
  • Hire, manage, and supervise seasonal operations associates and team attendants.
  • Work with visiting teams to arrange practice times on the road.
  • Assist coaches and basketball front office staff with daily tasks including special projects, player housing, copies, package pickups, etc.
  • Assist operations staff with day-to-day operations, team travel, player housing, player needs, etc.
  • Must have the availability to work long hours and a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and potentially holidays.
  • Must have the availability to travel for away games.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous professional operations and equipment experience in the WNBA/NBA is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from manager, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Knowledge to apply mathematical operations to basic mathematical concepts and analyzing costs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret directions.
  • Must be able to resolve issues and problems independently without supervision.
