About the position

The Indirect Area Sales Manager (ASM) for BP Energy will be responsible for driving sales growth and supporting the Castrol PCO business in Southern California and Arizona. This role involves managing relationships with distributors and direct accounts, focusing on new business development, account management, and field activation. The ASM will work primarily in the field, visiting customers and prospects, while leveraging digital tools to manage sales activities and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize profitable growth of Castrol brands focusing on premium products and strategic segments.
  • Support and train the WD DSR sales force in the assigned area.
  • Prospect and develop a robust pipeline for both direct and indirect sales opportunities.
  • Utilize PowerBI to manage territory effectively, overseeing account statuses.
  • Demonstrate and train DSRs on prospecting and closing business using Castrol programs.
  • Onboard OEM, PCNA, Walmart ACC, and key accounts as required.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage account relationships and pipeline.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 75% travel required, including 50-60% overnight stays.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management related to sales execution.
  • Proficiency in digital sales platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

  • Solid ability to identify sources of value and overcome objections.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing strategic partnerships.
