About the position

The Indirect Loan Associate at Barksdale Federal Credit Union is responsible for processing direct and indirect consumer loans, excluding underwriting. This role involves taking applications via telephone, mail, or email, preparing them for underwriters, communicating with members, and closing loans. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while promoting additional credit union products.

Responsibilities

• Take telephone, mail, or e-mail applications for consumer loans.
• Prepare applications for underwriters.
• Communicate with members regarding their loan applications.
• Close loans and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Cross-sell other Barksdale Federal Credit Union products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of loan products and services.
• Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.
• One to two years of varied office experience preferred.
