About the position

The Indirect Materials & Services Purchasing Manager at Givaudan is responsible for implementing procurement strategies for complex categories of goods and services. This role aims to secure the supply of materials and services while supporting corporate sustainability and partner goals. The position involves collaboration with various teams to optimize supplier performance and manage risks associated with procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and implement Indirect Materials & Services Procurement strategies.
  • Understand main cost drivers, industry trends, and best practices to shape the IM&S strategy following business and operations goals.
  • Support sourcing strategy development within teams.
  • Lead major RFQs and important commercial negotiations for sourcing strategy implementation.
  • Analyze supply markets and implement risk management strategies for main Indirect Materials and Services.
  • Support the implementation of responsible sourcing projects (Sedex, Audits).
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and engage partners in developing optimization plans.
  • Collaborate with Site Buyers and regional teams to identify alternative suppliers and deploy global strategies.
  • Develop global/regional supplier relationships and lead main supplier conflict resolutions.
  • Identify potential demand and specification changes and communicate them with suppliers.
  • Lead quarterly site and business reviews to identify site needs and market condition changes.
  • Prepare initiative and project plans and forecasts following the business budget cycle.
  • Provide price forecasts and market trends for main commodities and services.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, and other functional experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in other languages preferred.
  • Understanding of procurement systems, specifically SAP.
  • Understanding of relevant supply markets.
  • Financial and Project Management skills.
