About the position

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, is part of the U.S. family of brands, which includes five leading omnichannel grocery brands. The primary purpose of this position is to manage category strategic sourcing and management of $1b to $3b on items categorized as Indirect COE. This role is responsible for executing, managing, and tracking category strategies to minimize Indirect COE cost structures while ensuring delivery against the strategic needs of the company. The position is a leader on the Not for Resale Team and assists in setting or developing company-wide strategies for ADUSA's activities in these category functions. Success in this role will enhance the company's long-term competitive strength by minimizing the Indirect COE cost structure. The work schedule is flexible/hybrid, requiring 3 in-person days at one of the core locations and 2 remote days.

Responsibilities

  • Reduce cost of acquired goods and services that are Not-For Resale.
  • Implement, support, and follow rigorous processes, procedures, and policies for handling Indirect COE purchasing organization-wide.
  • Manage and execute against an annual and LTP total strategic Indirect COE sourcing calendar consisting of 50+ projects annually to deliver annual cost savings.
  • Conduct sourcing, vendor negotiation, and vendor relationship and performance management.
  • Act as the category expert for assigned areas to the business and suppliers, balancing needs between quality, cost, service, and innovation.
  • Lead and manage RFx processes.
  • Coordinate priorities and ensure resources are deployed appropriately to realize savings opportunities through local, ADUSA, and Global sourcing initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to colleagues, analysts, and other team members.
  • Collaborate with Indirect COE Leads to achieve cost savings across the Indirect COE supply chain.
