About the position

The Indirect Specialty National Sales Manager is responsible for implementing effective marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the Consumer Indirect Lending business. This role involves leading a team of Dealer Development Representatives (DDRs), ensuring they are well-equipped to meet sales goals, and fostering positive relationships with dealers. The manager will also be accountable for risk management and ensuring a positive customer experience while achieving sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and implement market-specific sales plans to maintain and expand current markets and develop new ones.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and technical training to Dealer Development Representatives (DDRs) to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Meet and exceed department sales goals as determined by the profit plan, including volume goals.
  • Keep DDRs informed about marketing information, rate changes, and program revisions to ensure effective performance.
  • Establish strong communication channels with dealers and resolve conflicts to maintain positive relationships.
  • Recommend program and pricing revisions to senior management based on competitive data and dealer needs analysis.
  • Determine success measures around defined benchmarks and regularly update DDRs on progress toward goals.
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit, retain, and develop top talent within the sales team.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in consultative sales and coach DDRs to improve their selling skills.
  • Personally develop and maintain key accounts as defined by the head of specialty lending.
  • Build relationships across departments and share best practices with peers.
  • Partner with the fulfillment team to increase process efficiencies and improve customer relations with dealers.
  • Develop and manage sales targets and monitor expenses related to the sales plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a sales team.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in selling and developing prime loan and lease volume.
  • Proven, measurable results in driving sales force effectiveness.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, organizational, customer service, training, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.).
