About the position

The Individual Giving Officer at Success Academy plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of the organization by engaging and soliciting individual donors to secure mid-level and major gifts. This position involves managing a portfolio of existing and prospective donors, with a focus on increasing philanthropic revenues to support the academy's operational, programmatic, and capital goals. The officer is expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating self-motivation, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of individual donors with mid-level to major gift capacity ($5,000-$500,000).
• Engage in the direct cultivation and solicitation of donors through various communication methods.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals related to portfolio management and fundraising metrics.
• Utilize the RE NXT database for donor prospecting and tracking interactions.
• Collaborate with Advancement colleagues to develop engagement and solicitation strategies.
• Assist with annual donor recognition and appreciation efforts.
• Participate in fundraising events and manage related administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in individual giving or consultative sales.
• Demonstrated success in individual giving or similar fundraising roles.
• Proficient with RE NXT or similar CRM systems and MS Office/Google Suite.
• Superb verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• CFRE or other specialized certification/designation is beneficial.
• Portfolio management experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of relevant prospect research and analytical tools.
