About the position

The Industrial Account Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and innovation within the industrial sales sector by leveraging market insights and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This role focuses on developing targeted accounts in the industrial segments, maximizing net margin returns, and ensuring effective product flow and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic targeted accounts in identified industrial segments.
  • Maximize net margin return on sales by collaborating with the Industrial Sales Team and Quality Team.
  • Market industrial products to geographic regions and customer segments for optimal margin returns.
  • Ensure maximum net margin return through product efficiency models and strategic account sales.
  • Assist inside sales in coordinating product flow from the mill to customers.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to recommend appropriate actions.
  • Assist in preparing annual financial budgets and business plans.
  • Travel as required to fulfill sales and coordination needs.
  • Participate in strategic planning and communication meetings as part of the Industrial Sales Team.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and provide weekly business development reports.
  • Operate safely in accordance with work rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Industrial segment sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry or business preferred.
  • Experience as a consultative salesperson.
  • Ability to drive business growth and product development in North America.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of wood panel manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Industrial/Manufacturing sectors in North America.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • PC-based analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
