About The Position

The position involves utilizing fundamental engineering concepts and practices to analyze operational data and methods, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and implement technology systems that align with business objectives. The role focuses on providing engineering support and analysis for FedEx Ground field operations, aiming to control and justify operational costs effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) required.
• Disciplines may include Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
• Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
• Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
• Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Excel.
• Highly organized; able to manage multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance data within engineering.
• Utilize engineering tools and software to analyze data and answer basic engineering questions.
• Research, analyze, and consolidate technical or engineering-related information for management review.
• Prepare accurate expenditure proposals and/or cost justification analysis with management guidance.
• Formulate and present document research, progress, and results to team members and internal customers.
• Apply project management fundamentals and concepts with management guidance.
• Develop progress reports, meeting minutes, and field communication memos for management review.
• Participate in Control Self Monitoring (CSM) and/or Business Control Self-Assessment (BCSA) process within area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
