About the position

As an Industrial Automation Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will provide advanced technical facilitation and expertise to customers in the Industrial Automation business unit. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex technical issues, ensuring successful implementation of solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. You will significantly impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of customer operations through exceptional service and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for customers
  • Provide advanced technical facilitation and expertise for IA solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and field service engineers
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Provide technical support including onsite work, electronic troubleshooting, repair, install migration, process migration, software upgrades, and training system configuration.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven experience in field service engineering in an industrial environment focusing on complex technical solutions
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Industrial Automation technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in project management and execution
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TDC3000/TPS
  • Experience with Experion PKS
  • At least two level 3 or higher Honeywell certifications, one of which must be level 4, or experience necessary to attain such certifications within six months
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Strong guidance and mentoring skills
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements
  • Results-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion.
