About the position

The Industrial Base Technical Analyst (Digital Manufacturing) at ANSER plays a crucial role in supporting the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy. This position involves researching and analyzing the global defense industrial base, identifying strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities, and recommending prototyping efforts. The analyst will also craft acquisition documents, evaluate proposed efforts, monitor program execution, and conduct outreach and strategic communications operations. The role requires a deep understanding of the Department of Defense's planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities within the global defense industrial base.
• Recommend relevant prototyping efforts and craft acquisition documents.
• Evaluate proposed efforts and monitor program execution.
• Conduct outreach efforts and site visits as required.
• Engage in strategic communications operations.

Requirements

• US citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in digital manufacturing, automation, Industry 4.0, and related fields.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, science, or technology analysis at a U.S. military Major Command Staff level or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and PPBE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
