About the position

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) is seeking an Industrial Business Development Manager to promote, expand, maintain, and implement all sales aspects of our Actiflo, Multiflo Discfilter, Drumfilter, UF/RO's, and Evaled products. This position is crucial for achieving sales goals and enhancing the market presence of these products. The main office is based out of Trevose, PA, and the role involves direct sales and business development responsibilities for assigned products. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve or exceed sales volume through technical sales support of existing products and will play a key role in developing and expanding new business opportunities. The responsibilities of the Industrial Business Development Manager include qualifying and following up on all sales leads, conducting sales calls on engineers, EPCs, and end users, and attending trade shows as required. The role also involves coordination and idea generation with the marketing department, detailed interaction with office process and engineering staff, and the development and writing of proposals with office support staff. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for developing sales presentations, coordinating with the worldwide Veolia network to leverage learnings and global key accounts, leading pricing and terms and conditions negotiation on final sales, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts as required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct sales and business development responsibility for assigned products to achieve sales goals for booked orders and gross margin.
  • Achieve or exceed sales volume of the products through technical sales support of existing products.
  • Developing and expanding new business opportunities for the products.
  • Qualifying and follow-up of all sales leads.
  • Sales calls on engineers, EPCs, and end users.
  • Attendance at trade shows as required.
  • Coordination and idea generation with the marketing department.
  • Detailed interaction with office process and engineering staff.
  • Development and writing of proposals with office support staff.
  • Development of sales presentations.
  • Coordination with the worldwide Veolia network to leverage learnings and global key accounts.
  • Lead pricing and T&Cs negotiation on final sales.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the application and sale of capital equipment/systems and technology in the industrial wastewater treatment industry.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree required, preferably in an engineering discipline.
  • High degree of technical competence in wastewater treatment systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written).
  • Intimate understanding of the buying influences and purchasing protocols in the light industrial market.
  • Experience in sales of ion exchanger, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, clarifier, DAF, microscreens, evaporators, aerobic and/or anaerobic treatment systems to industrial users is a plus.
  • Experience in ingredient water, ultra pure water, boiler makeup water, cooling tower water and intake water treatment applications is a plus.
