About the position

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) is seeking an Industrial Business Development Manager to join our team. This position is pivotal in promoting, expanding, maintaining, and implementing all sales aspects of our key products, including Actiflo, Multiflo Discfilter, Drumfilter, UF/RO's, and Evaled products. The main office is located in Trevose, PA, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and business development initiatives to achieve our sales goals for booked orders and gross margin. In this role, the Industrial Business Development Manager will have direct sales responsibility for assigned products, ensuring that sales volume targets are met or exceeded through technical sales support of existing products. The position requires the development and expansion of new business opportunities, qualifying and following up on all sales leads, and conducting sales calls on engineers, EPCs, and end users. Attendance at trade shows will be required to promote our products and engage with potential clients. Collaboration is key in this role, as the manager will coordinate with the marketing department for idea generation and detailed interaction with office process and engineering staff. The development and writing of proposals will be supported by office staff, and the manager will also be responsible for creating compelling sales presentations. Coordination with the worldwide Veolia network will be essential to leverage learnings and manage global key accounts effectively. Additionally, the manager will lead pricing and terms and conditions negotiations on final sales and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts as required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct sales and business development responsibility for assigned products to achieve sales goals for booked orders and gross margin.
  • Achieve or exceed sales volume of the products through technical sales support of existing products.
  • Developing and expanding new business opportunities for the products.
  • Qualifying and follow-up of all sales leads.
  • Sales calls on engineers, EPCs, and end users.

  • Lead pricing and T&Cs negotiation on final sales.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the application and sale of capital equipment/systems and technology in the industrial wastewater treatment industry.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree required, preferably in an engineering discipline.
  • High degree of technical competence in wastewater treatment systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written).
  • Intimate understanding of the buying influences and purchasing protocols in the light industrial market.
  • Experience in sales of ion exchanger, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, clarifier, DAF, microscreens, evaporators, aerobic and/or anaerobic treatment systems to industrial users is a plus.
  • Experience in ingredient water, ultra pure water, boiler makeup water, cooling tower water and intake water treatment applications is a plus.
